Our Process: What It’s Like to Work with our Boston Video Production Company

If you’ve never hired a video production company before, it can feel like stepping into a whole new world. We get it - cameras, lights, creative briefs, editing timelines... it can be a lot. That’s why at Bunker Hill Media, our process is built to make things simple, collaborative, and (dare we say) fun.

Whether you're launching a new brand video, capturing a customer story, or producing a campaign, here’s what it looks like to work with a Boston-based video team that leads with creativity and clarity.

Step 1: The Creative Brief

It all starts with a conversation. Once you reach out, we’ll send you a short creative brief to help us understand your goals, your audience, and your vision. Don’t worry—you don’t need to have all the answers. We guide you through it.

We’ll ask questions like:

  • What type of video are you looking for?

  • Where will it live (website, social, paid ads)?

  • What story are you trying to tell?

From there, we hop on a quick kickoff call to align on next steps.

Step 2: The Creative Document

Next, we turn your brief into a fully fleshed-out plan. This internal document includes:

  • Your goals and messaging

  • Suggested shot lists and interview questions

  • Visual references and moodboards

  • Talent or location needs

  • Production timeline and schedule

You’ll get a chance to review everything before shoot day so we’re all aligned.

Step 3: Production Day

This is the fun part. Our crew shows up with all the gear, energy, and direction you need.

We use high-end equipment (Sony FX3s, Aputure lighting, gimbals, mics, drones—you name it) and we focus on creating a calm, supportive environment on set. We guide our clients every step of the way, whether they’re reading from a teleprompter or answering interview questions for the first time.

Most of our shoots are 1-day productions, but for larger campaigns or multi-location shoots, we build out a custom schedule that works for you.

Step 4: Editing + Post Production

After the shoot, we bring your story to life in the edit. This includes:

  • Cutting and refining the footage

  • Color correction and audio mixing

  • Motion graphics, lower thirds, logos, etc.

We always provide a draft (or multiple versions, depending on your package), and we include a round of revisions so you can fine-tune the final product.

Need vertical cuts for social or resized versions for different platforms? We can include that, too.

Step 5: Delivery + Launch

Once approved, we deliver your final videos in high-res formats and make sure you have everything you need to publish them with confidence. Whether you’re uploading to YouTube, embedding on your website, or launching a paid ad campaign, we make sure the files are ready to go.
